Course Description: With today’s advanced restorative materials, clinical success is dependent upon 4 major elements: technique, knowledge, accuracy, and the way the clinician navigates challenging clinical situations. The longevity of each direct or indirect posterior case depends on taking control of as many variables as possible. This presentation will discuss some major insights on approaching key areas of the posterior direct and indirect restoration while considering some of the challenges the oral environment can present.
Learning Objectives:
Learn strategic placement techniques that address the difficulties associated with Class II restorations Learn the benefit of using bulk fill, highly adaptive, light sensitive materials in Class II restoration Understand how isolation and curing lights play a pivotal role in the longevity of posterior restorations . Gain a working knowledge of how adhesives, cements, and filling materials work seamlessly together in any clinical situation
About the Speaker:
Dr. Sam Simos is an Implant, restorative and cosmetic dentist practicing just outside of Chicago, in Bolingbrook and Ottawa Illinois. People from around the world seek out his services to help enhance their lives. He is internationally recognized as a leader in cosmetic and restorative dentistry. He received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery at Chicago’s Loyola University. Dr. Simos teaches post-graduate courses to practicing dentists on cosmetic dentistry, occlusion, and comprehensive restorative dentistry. He is one of a select number of dentists who work with the Dental Advisor to evaluate and consult with dental manufacturers about new products.
